Dina Fajardo-Tovar is an education expert who focuses on designing and monitoring initiatives that combine education technology and pedagogical practices. She recently completed her PhD at Cambridge University, researching the science of play and its role in learning, specifically in Mexican urban and rural preschools. She has also contributed to the Digital Education Futures Initiative identifying future skills and the role of technology in their development. Currently, Dina is co-founder and learning lead at Dexterity Club, a Netherlands-based organisation that develops innovative resources for children, parents, and teachers to foster active and responsible engagement in digital transformation. Dr. Kevin Martin is a seasoned leader in education and social enterprise, with over 20 years of experience advancing global education equity. As Managing Director of the Digital Education Futures Initiative (DEFI) at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge, he drives strategic operations, global partnerships, and innovative educational programs. Dr. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Education from Cambridge, where his research focused on enhancing small group learning in rural East Africa through mobile technology. Previously, he served as Associate Dean at New England College, where he boosted enrollment and developed new programs. His work spans Design-Based Research, dialogic learning, and digital pedagogy. A former Acumen Global Fellow, Dr. Martin led impactful social initiatives in Tanzania. He is a published researcher and a frequent speaker on educational innovation and technology. Dr. Martin also serves on several boards and consults on integrating technology with education to tackle global challenges.
